Photovine app for iOS goes live

Not long after the announcement of Photovine, the iOS app has now gone live.

Photovine is a fun way to learn more about your friends, meet new people, and share your world like never before. It all starts with what we call a photovine: a group of photos around a single, shared caption. Start a new vine with a photo and caption of your own or add your photo/take on someone else’s vine.

It is a bit peculiar that the app was released on the iOS platform before Android. But it has to be mentioned that the company behind this product (Slide) was only acquried by Google. Perhaps Google only wants to be in the background and let this photovine project blossom by itself.

You can grab Photovine from the iTunes link so long as you’re running iOS 4.2 or later on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
