EA banning Battlefield 3 accounts involved in bug exploit
Although there have been good moments, it hasn’t been the best of starts for EA since the release of Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 has had a few issues with bugs/glitches in the game since launch and fans have been aware of that, even during the beta stages. So it should come as no surprise that some players are exploiting bugs in the game.
The offending exploit in question is one that allows a player to infinitely repair a friendly bot during a hardcore game. Gaining loads of points in return [see video below].
The Battlefield team has caught unto the exploit and announced on its Twitter:
“This week we’ve banned hundred of offending accounts and have stats-wiped accounts for exploiting (such as boosting)…”
EA also announced that a patch for this exploit will be “coming soon”.
