Install Android 4.0 keyboard on any Android device [Android Market]

Ice Cream Sandwich for Android brings a much improved keyboard from previous versions. The keyboard has been extracted to run on previous versions of Android. The good news is, no root access is needed to install the keyboard. The bad news, you must be running Android 2.2 (Froyo) and up. The new keyboard brings voice dictation and better text prediction and more.

The Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard can be downloaded by searching the Android Market or via this link. Once the keyboard has been installed, head over to your phones settings to enable the keyboard.

Note: Users will receive a “collecting data” warning message: This is a standard warning message appears when any third party Android keyboard is installed. The keyboard doesn’t have permission to access the internet so there is nothing to worry about.

Check out the new keyboard running on the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch below.
