update: Windows 8 beta launch date confirmed.
Microsoft has confirmed the public beta release date for Windows 8 will be in February 2012. The Windows 8 Developer Preview has already been downloaded by millions.
The Windows 8 store will be limited with the beta release and only free apps will be available for download. Microsoft will demo the Windows 8 beta and store at CES next year, before it’s released.
