Xbox 360 Kinect Priced at £130($150). Ready for November 4th
Jul 20th
The Xbox 360 Kinect has officially been priced at £130 ($150) and will be released on November 4th (for North America). There has been no official report as to when it will be released in the UK but we can safely assume it will be released on the same date.
There will also a bundle of the Kinect Motion Controller and the New Xbox 360 console with 4GB storage and ‘Kinect Adventures’ (kind of like the Xbox 360′s version of Wii Sports) for £250 ($300).
The most reliable UK source in terms of pricing to pre-order the Kinect and the Kinect bundle from (for now) is play.com.
No more Red Ring of Death (Xbox 360 250GB)
Jun 30th

It seems the much dreaded Red Ring of Death which plagued the classic and elite Xbox 360s will not be an issue for the new Xbox 360 owners. The main reason why so many Xbox 360s got the Red Ring of Death was due to overheating. But with the new Xbox 360, this is no longer an issue.
The first reason, which is obvious from the post image, is the preventative measures that come with the new Xbox. If the Xbox overheats a message pops up letting the owner know the Xbox will be shutting down and can only be turned off when it has cooled back down.
The second is a very simple one. There are no more red L.E.D lights on the power button of the Xbox. So even if your Xbox were to have the same issues that caused the Red Ring of Death, it will most probably just flash a green light.

Microsoft has announced it’s new product at the E3 even today. It’s the Xbox 360 Slim! My excitement for this product cannot be controlled. Xbox Live update [17th November, 2009] (updated)
Nov 17th

Xbox Live Update for 17th November
First things first. In order to gain access to this update you will need to have an Xbox Live gold membership. You should see a message when you sign on to Xbox Live sometime today prompting you for a mandatory update.
With the update you get:
- Facebook – Update your status and view photo albums. See which of your Facebook friends are on xbox live and you can even add them as friends.
- Twitter – Post and view tweets directly from your Xbox 360.
- Zune – With Zune video you can download or stream standard or high definition videos. up to 1080p. You can also have a party of up to 7 friends and view the videos together, bringing new meaning to “watching movies with friends”.
- Last.fm – Listen to thousands and thousands of free music (for U.K and U.S). Favourite stations and even create your own.
Update: So as it turns out to use these features are not mandatory. However to use Facebook you will need to download 6.45MB file which you will need to open and type in your Facebook login details and voila! Facebook on Xbox Live. Even though its seems quite slow.
Twitter on the other hand is very fast and looks very good with no needed download. But there are a few issues of it being unable to retrieve some information. I’m guessing this could be due to it not being up and running for long. Hopefully the problem get resolved.
Last.fm also requires a download of 6.54MB and you need to be logged in using your free account. Simple as that.
With Zune you need a 4.81MB download. You are then prompted for an update which takes a matter of seconds. And of course you have to pay to view these videos. I have no idea however if there are any free videos available.
