The iOS 4.0.1 update that is supposed to accurately display the iPhone 4 reception status is now rolling out. Whether it fixes the antenna issues (which is unlikely with this update) or not, it is always a good idea to keep your gadgets up-to-date. Head over to your iTunes to grab your update.

Steve Jobs responds to iPhone 4 antenna issues. We are holding it wrong?
Jun 30th

How Steve Jobs wants us to hold the iPhone 4
It should be pretty well known by now that the iPhone 4′s antenna is located on the bottom left hand side of the phone. And when this part of the phone is held, the reception on the phone dramatically drops and even in some cases the call is dropped (see image).
Well, an iPhone 4 owner sent an e-mail to Steve Jobs regarding this issue. See below for the response.

iPhone 4: Hands On Review
Jun 25th
Although the iPhone 4 sold out pretty much everywhere yesterday, I managed to get my hands on this new piece of hardware for an honest and opinion based review for your reading pleasure.
HARDWARE
Being the owner of the HTC HD2 with its huge 4.3″ screen and the iPod Touch 2G with its 3.5″ screen, every time I handled my iPod Touch after using my HD2, it felt like I had a lot of free space in my hand which I didn’t like the feel off. I was expecting the same feeling with the iPhone 4 which has the same screen size. I was however pleasantly disappointed. It felt very nice to the touch and very durable (although proven otherwise by iFixYourI).
SOFTWARE
What can I say about the iOS 4 that hasn’t already been said? It looks good, is very smooth, responsive and packed full of features. It has to be said, regardless of how much you may dislike Apple, they do know how to make things we’re already used to look, a lot better.
iPhone 4 release (UK)
Jun 25th
Yesterday marked the release of the iPhone 4 to the much anticipating public. Many stores were sold out of the iPhones in a matter of hours. Some stores like O2 were giving those upgrading their contract phones priority of the handset to those planning on buying the handset on pay-as-you-go. In a lot of the stores, contact details were taken down of those who were unable to grab themselves an iPhone yesterday and were told they would be notified as soon as it was back in stock. Some received the option of having the new iPhone delivered to their addresses in a couple of days.
The image you’re seeing above was taken on the corner of the Apple store in Regent Street, Oxford Circus, London(Because security were instructed to prevent pictures being taken at the front of the store). This should however give you an idea of how long the queue was. Hit the link below to see more photographs of people queueing in the hopes of getting an iPhone.

Pre-order your iPhone 4
Jun 17th
If you have been itching to pre-order your iPhone 4, you can do so now. From the UK Apple Store and US Apple Store. Bear in mind that for the UK the iPhone 4 is on pay-as-you-go and unlocked and not on contract. You will have to hit up whichever store you plan to get the iPhone 4 from on contract on the release date (June 24), Whereas for the US the pre-order is for the iPhone 4 on contract on the AT&T network.
iPhone 4 (video)
Jun 8th
Following the recent announcement of the iPhone 4 which will be released on June 24th on all the major UK phone networks apart from the ’3′ network so far, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to return to blogging. I took some time off to concentrate on my education and this post marks a return with full force. Instead of writing boring paragraphs about the iPhone 4, I think it’s features are best explained when compared to other phones on the market. Hit the link below to see the comparison table (courtesy of Engadget) as well as an enthusiasm filled video about the iPhone 4.
Vodafone starts sale of iPhones today
Jan 14th

Vodafone loyals rejoice! Today marks the day that Vodafone contract holders can now have the optional upgrade to an iPhone. This comes after O2 lost it’s exclusivity of the iPhone to UK customers. However, Orange Mobile Network beat Vodafone in being the second ever UK distributor of the iPhone. It’s still a happy day for Vodafone users nonetheless.
HTC HD2 coming to T-Mobile
Jan 7th

The title says it all. The phone I deem to be the iPhone’s closest competitor is coming to T-Mobile. Hurray for me! I refuse to be on any other network other than T-Mobile. There are no details as to when it will head over to T-Mobile as of yet.
